Tauranga Regional Multicultural Council Inc. is affiliated with the New Zealand Federation Of Multicultural Councils Inc. and participates in the Federations Annual meetings which allows ethnic people from around the country to mingle and discuss shared items of concern. Tauranga Regional Multicultural Council Inc meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month.

 Our next 10th Ethnic Festival will take place on Saturday, 7th March 2009 from 10am to 4pm at the Wharepai Domain, Cameron Road, Tauranga. We will feature dance, music, and art from many ethnic groups living in the greater Bay of Plenty area and also a few groups from other cities.

Living in Harmony evenings will resume in April 2010 on second Thursday of every month at the Senior Citizen Hall at 14 Norris Street (behind Pak'n'Save) at 7pm to 9.30. For theme of the next evening please see our web site

The Bay of Plenty is the tenth largest region of New Zealand Bay of Plenty has the fifth largest population. The urban centres of Rotorua and Tauranga are both in the Bay of Plenty region. The Bay of Plenty's average weekly income for people in paid employment is the eleventh highest in New Zealand. Unemployment in the Bay of Plenty is low, but slightly higher than the national average. The largest industry is retail trade, followed by manufacturing and then health & community services.
